This painting of Al Jahili Fort represents the UAE and holds a special place in my heart because I grew up in Al Ain, where this historic landmark stands. The colors of the UAE flag are reflected in the scene: the red in the sand and fort, the green in the trees, the white in the camel driver’s traditional dress, and the black in the birds flying in the sky. The Jahili fort is one of the largest forts in the UAE, it is a historic landmark in Al Ain that dates back to 1891. Over time, the fort became a symbol of Al Ain’s rich heritage and cultural significance. Today, it stands as a beautifully preserved monument, housing exhibitions and serving as a window into the UAE’s history, blending architectural beauty with historical importance.
